The entity is selecting a location to host the 4th sociology forum in 2020

The President of PUCRS, Br. Evilázio Teixeira, was visited by the president of the International Sociological Association (ISA), Dr. Margaret Abraham, and her committee, comprising the entity’s vice president and the executive secretary, on Monday, Jul 17. The group is responsible for selecting the host city for ISA’s 4th Sociology Forum, to be held in Jul 2020. Today, Porto Alegre and Moscow (Russia) are candidate cities.
The trip included a tour around the Main Campus and areas such as the Events Center, the Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc) and the Science and Technology Museum , in the presence of professors from the Graduate Program in Social Sciences. Dr. Abraham, who is a professor at Hofstra University (USA), and her team, stayed in Porto Alegre from Jul 16 to Jul 18.
