Prof. François Martin and Prof. Elisabeth Soulie laboratory (Director of the Laboratory Geosciences Environment Toulouse – GET) from Université Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier, in France, visited PUCRS to discuss the progress of the partnership between both institutions.
Welcomed by the President of PUCRS, Prof. Joaquim Clotet, the representatives came to the University to advise the PhD students of the Graduate Program in Materials Technology and Engineering from PUCRS’ School of Engineering, Manoela Prado and Guilherme Dias, who are currently working on their double degree.
In addition to that, Prof. Sandra Einloft (Dean of the School of Chemistry), spent two months at GET as a guest lecturer. Since 2014, PUCRS have had signed cooperative agreement with the Université Toulouse III through the Laboratory. Prof. Sandra Einloft also stressed that the partnership will lead to the registration of patent of new materials for capturing CO2 in the future. The French authorities celebrated the consolidation of the agreement, including the publication of several articles in a short space of time. In addition to that, a French student is expected to come to PUCRS as part of the agreement.
