UN commends startup ClubeWatt at national stage of World Summit Awards

Company employs two alumni of PUCRS

2019_09_03-clubewatt_world_summit_awards(Elias_Santos)(907x605)ClubeWatt, a startup headquartered at the Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc), won big in the categories Environment and Renewable Energy at the national leg of World Summit Awards, in São Paulo. The company employs two former PUCRS students. The award, delivered on Aug 28, is promoted by the United Nations (UN) in partnership with the Municipal Department of People with Disabilities of São Paulo. It occurs in more than 170 countries around the world, each of which being responsible for nominating the best digital content startups developed in their territories. ClubeWatt now represents Brazil in the world stage of the summit, which will take place in Vienna, Austria.

ClubWatt’s content creator Arthur Hüner has a degree in Advertising from the School of Communications, Arts and Design – Famecos, and the Technical Development Leader, Matheus Bernardes, has a degree in Computer Science from the School of Technology.

About ClubeWatt

The startup is engaged in making the access to renewable energies with less environmental impact more universal. In this sense, it will allow its associates – who can be either individuals or companies – to enjoy the resources without having to install any machines in the properties or lands. The energy is digitally injected into the electrical company’s network. In addition to the environmental advantages, the company commits to charge 20% off the electricity company’s fees. The rules of the Club will allow for customers to get bigger deductions, which makes this whole project financially attractive.
